We have two little ones, and felt it was important for them to learn to swim at an early age. We signed up the youngest, 2, for swim lessons at another facility. Sad to say, we were disappointed. The "lessons" amounted to nothing more than holding your child in the water.

We talked to Wendy, but were a little skeptical at 2 year olds in the pool on their own, learning swimming and water safety. My wife viewed a class and we were hooked.

Our children, 3 and 2 years old, have been with Wendy for 4 months and the progress they've made is amazing! That's our 2 year old, Nathan, floating in the pics! We couldn't be happier with their progress. They are learning to swim and they are having fun, too. We talk about the classes every chance we get.

Bumped into the boys swim teacher Wendy Greulach a few days ago. Giad to see her but even more fun to tell her about all if her former students and their great successes in high school water polo. Who could have predicted that Beau Bayless would be the star goalie of Stevenson high school...would go to the Naval Academy, Michael Saulovich would be the star hole set for Salinas High ..Michael D would be one of their star shooters and our son Zack would be MVP Offensive Player of the year and with the help of a great Carmel team...help lead them to a league championship breaking Soquel's 19 year ..98 straight league games undefeated record! Collectively the boys were all co-captains of their Varsity teams...and all played against each other for their designated high schools.

Wow Wendy? You have some major "bragging rights" as their swim instructor.. Way back when Zack was still in diapers! In fact When we started Nate...I don't even think Zack had been born yet, and I remember taking Nick in his baby holder. Who could have fast forwarded 18 years later, and four of your students (that we know of even), all played competitively for four years! I think Beau may be playing for the Naval Academy now! Because of her great instruction?

I've never feared for my sons in the water. In fact, Lorraine and I took swim lessons from her and I learned to do flip turns!!! Congratulations Wendy... as you gave all of these guys a huge headstart in the water. Zack now does free deep diving off shore and I worry less knowing he is such a strong swimmer.

2 YEAR OLDS "RESTING"

When I started looking for a swim class for my son, I wanted a class that focused more on water survival than making him comfortable around water. The ocean does not forgive, and overconfidence will just result in a person getting into a situation above their abilities.

I am also taking Wendy's adult class. It has given me a greater appreciation for what my son does in the water. I thought I just needed a little refresher to become a more effecient swimmer. I've come to realize how little I knew, even though I started swimming at a very young age. As soon as my daughter becomes old enough to start classes, I will enroll her also. We will be a swimming family, and a safe family around water. That is what Wendy has done for us.

I will always recommend you to anyone who wants their child to be safe in the water. Before my daughter’s lessons with you she would just jump into a pool without knowing how to swim. After only a few months with Wendy, my son fell off the finger pier. He did just what Wendy had taught him and went right back into his lesson the next day, confidently. He joined the swim team at 4 and continued with his Wendy lessons (and went on to be a lifeguard and swim instructor while in high school). At every opportunity, I say Thank You Wendy for saving Alec's life and giving him a great sport in the process. Big hugs!!!

Wendy you are awesome!! When my girls were little I enjoyed watching them have fun in other pools jumping, diving, swimming in the deep end and not have to worry, you taught them to be confident swimmers.
